Supported F-102's AWCS which flew cover for the `52's out of Ben Hoa, Da Nang, Bangkok, & Udorn, 1966-67 by making sure their missiles would hit what they aimed @. Was with the 405th A&E (which soon merged with the 6200 A&E) based @ Clark AFB, RP. Yes, I was a REMF, or whatever. I later found out that it took @ least 5 of REMF to support every single combat soldier. I am a founding & life member of VVA Chapter 472, San Diego, CA. When it comes to Viet Nam service, I was VERY lucky & never had a clue as to how lucky until after I was out for over 5 years!!
