Hi my name is Devin and I am 4 years old. I was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes when I was 2. Originally my parents were having to give me 4 insulin injections a day. As I got bigger that went up to 6-8 injections a day so my mommy decided it was time for an insulin pump. It has made life a lot easier because I no longer get the injections each day, I just have to have my site changed once every 2-3 days. Though I have gotten used to having something attached to me 24/7 I would rather NOT have to use it. But the only way that will happen is for a cure to be found for Juvenile Diabetes. On October 17th my family and I will be walking for a cure and we could use your help. Not only does JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) fund studies for a cure but they also educate the public about what to look for in your children. I was one of the lucky ones and my mommy caught my diabetes before I got sick. Most children are sick for MONTHS and even die before a diagnoses is made because most people don't think about children when they think about diabetes. So If you would like to join our walk team or sponsor me in the walk please click the banner above.
Thanks and God Bless!
