The little booger got to go home the very next day and his mom is the most chipper postpartum heifer (meant lovingly) that I've ever seen.

With Jay Ray being the runt, his granny is having a hard time getting used to the itty-bitty diapers. My baby (3 years old) was the last baby and he was 9 pounds 1 ounce and NEVER wore teeny diapers. Her own kids were nearly 10 pounds each and our next-smallest was over 7 pounds. She's lucky he wasn't as small as my twin nieces, who are almost 9 now. They weighed 1 pound 7 ounces and 1 pound 8 ounces at birth and their grandma said their diapers were "not maxi, MINI pad size."

I've only gotten to see our new addition once, but just the idea of him is making me feel a little better. I can't wait to kiss him. My little one said "Baby Jay tell me him want to kiss me a whole bunch." I guess they have a baby talk connection.
