In reply to: Missy-Jo 's message, "Beautiful graveside service. Bluegrass music and buried in her housecoat, looking better than she had in years." on Sun March 23, 2008 7:38am CST

When my cousin Betty died last year, it made me really sad that they dressed her up in a matronly skirt set. That wasn't Betty - put her in a halter top, short skirt, high heels, and with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth. THAT would've been Betty. I wish people would stay true to the personality of the departed, rather than what "looks right."

We should open our own funeral home and give people a contract before they die so they can be dressed and made up how they'd want to be. (NT)Missy-JoWed March 26, 2008 12:49am CST
