Taylor watched silently as Mike stood, and shouted into the darkness. At first glance, there was nothing there to see. When the icy wind swept over her, she shivered, then stood, and want to stand by the fallen Mike. She found if she unfocused her eyes a little, a shadowy figure came into focus. She snarled soflty, and glanced down at Mike. She could guess what was happening, but just to make sure, she opened her mind to his, watching at painful memories replayed in his head. A low growl rumbled in her throat. Without another glance toward Krines, Taylor knelt by Mike's side. A hand laced with his, she smoothed his hair away from his brow and probed into her own memories..... fighting to push away mike's painful ones, and submerge him in her own happier ones.

A big, handsome gray stallion stood grazing in a thicket of trees, his ivory coat dappled with sunshine. Taylor knew he wasn't alone, as she leaned on hte fence. Stryker was probably with him, but from this distance, she couldn't make out hte shadow mare. A wistle split the air in two, and Taylor watched and waited as Rudi raised his head, ears perked. It didn't take long for him to spot his friend and mistress, and come thundering across the field. Without any urging, he slowed, and stood parrelell to the fence so that Taylor could clamber onto his back. Her heart racing with the anticipation, Taylor hunkered down over her big steed's back, her fingers laced firmly in his mane. A soft cluck was given, and Rudi took off at a steady canter. He didn't pick up the pace untill he was well away from the fence. Using her legs, Taylor guided her flying mount straight toward a fence, laughter ringing in Rudi's ears as he sailed over the 5 foot obsticle. Pure joy thrummed through Taylor's veins as her mount thundered on, soon joined by a shadowy mare... Stryker.

Taylor tried her best to help Mike fight the painful memories of his past, filling his mind with her own more joyful ones.
