[.The beast takes an uneasy step torwards both the humans and the horse, his tail swaying back and forth rythmically. He was the typical, majestic German Shepherd Dog, except he was much larger. His frame was comparatively almost like that of a buff man. His shoulder blades reached to about mid-thigh on a six foot tall, full grown man. He was impressive, and this was due to the fact that he had trained hard as a pup. He had been used for dual purposes, from sniffing out mines to helping his human companion in war. Michael, his former human, had died in battle, leaving the brute to set up like on his own. Only Rinty knew, but the beast was nearly blind in his right eye. There were no coloration in his pupil, or around the eye. He had been hit in the eye by the buttal of a rifle. If it weren't for today's medicine, he would be without an eye today. It didn't affect him, however. He had learned to adapt. His ears had re-positioned themselves in their normal position, moving about like satelites as he heard various sounds. His chestnut optics stared at the humans, almost as if he were awaiting a command from them. A collar too small for his brutesque body hung about his neck with a tag that read, Rin Tin Tin - "Rinty". His human companion had named him after the all-famous dog, Rin Tin Tin, because he had expressed some of the same characteristics as the well-known star now long dead.
