• -everything was working out wonderfully, cooking was well underway, apartment was spotless and the tree...or former tree now snow monster was lit. Her meager offering of a gift was baking at the moment, a pan of double chocolate brownies from scratch, it was the best she could do on short notice. Her hair was tied up in a knot at the nape of her neck, old clothes worn for working in the kitchen, an apron tied around her waist.
