Mari, you make perfect sense and I understand where you're coming from. believe me, I've had enough worrying fits about this storyline to last me for a good long while. While we all know that ME loves to shock and throw curveballs, let's remember who we are dealing with as well. Remember last year before the start of Season 5, how we heard that Dawn was going to come into the Buffyverse. I recall quite a number of people moaning and groaning on the boards that brining in a "cousin Oliver" would be bad and wierd. Just before the Gift aired in the U.S., people were taking bets that dawn would die in the Season 5 finale, since she was the newest Buffy character and was easily expendable because she was not "real". Guess what? Buffy was the one who died, not dawn and if ME are good story writers, they would not kill off the main character's sister.

Same thing with Angel, ME are not the type to kill off babies and if my instincts are correct, we are looking at a force for good, not evil, therefore, the baby will not die. I don't know if you have seen That Old gang of Mine, yet in your area, you are from a Spanish-speaking country that gets the Buffy/Angel eps a little later than the U.S., right? Anyway, in that ep, there was a condemnation of the "baby-killer" demon (and rightly so) that was staying at Caritas, which gives me an indication that ME won't go in the direction of killing off Angel's progeny, especially one that is so young.
