Beats me. Maybe it's because she is carrying a life?

Well, she did gulp down that lime chaser in Hearthrob. It'll be interesting if Darla shows some "cravings" when she shows up in LA.

Hmm. Not sure. I'm definitely leaning towards Wesley mistranslating the Shansu prophecy becuase let's face it, Angel turning human just makes for a boring finale when the entire audience knows what's going to happen in the end. With Shansu mistranslation, Angel will have to become human spiritually rather than physically. The baby also brings Angel closer to humanity since he can now partake in an important part of the human experience: procreation.

Also, I've always wondered if Wesley has mistranslated the Shansu scrolls. If I recall, he said something about a "circle of life". Well, the circle of life means birth to death. You can't really become human after being dead (Buffy resurrection aside), but you can be born, meaning you start out as a baby. Angel's already grown. Since he is dead he can start a new life meaning getting someone pregnant.

I have another question to throw out there, did anyone think Darla killed the shaman? I tend to think she didn't, but who knows?
