I feel your inquisitive gaze upon me
Intensely searching for a clue
I am afraid of what you will see
If my thoughts you somehow view

I can not look you in the eyes
I know you see through my deception
You see the truth behind the lies
With such an accurate perception

To you my very soul is bared
All my sins are now uncovered
I’ll have to admit I was not prepared
For them to be discovered

It has now become very apparent
I am not the person I used to be
The walls around me are transparent
And you see right to the heart of me

I guess you see I am just a fake
And now you feel so uncertain
Perhaps loving me was a mistake
