So long have I had a backseat view of the world,
Pushed back by those who felt this was my place,
Forgetting my place in the sphere,
Often I was pushed aside,
To make room for more 'important' things,
Much of what I was forgotten for seemed to me unimportant,
And left alone was I for long,
I learned things on my own,
So I viewed the world differently,
Seeing the populous as a network of spies,
Each trying to corrupt me in their way,
To become their mocking target,
But I evaded that,
Still almost forgotten in the minds of many,
Yet with some hope for the future,
Secretly I planned with others unaware of my objective,
To rise in rank and in favor,
Out of this slavelike position,
To a place of power,
Where I could be known to all,
In a way I wanted to be,
And so I started the execution,
Revealing myself slowly to the world,
Never directly, but symbolically,
Building up confidence and support,
Until I was ready to show myself to the world,
Take pride in being,
Harness the power of the second and use it for the day,
To never rely on isolation for permanent protection,
To get up and spread the knowledge of me,
Yet to never fully give up the feeling,
That somehow to someone,
I am their last priority.
