Slumped over and lifeless
Needle sticking out
As if it belonged.
Her private life
In her hands
Written in black and white
Across her journal
Their for all to see
About her survival of life
And all its
Terrible pranks,
The lost love
Drugs
And all its
Terrible pranks,
She endured
Tattooed on her arm
Was one word
"HOPE" as clear as day
And under that
"You better believe."
So much pain and strength
In that lifeless soul
