I leave the bedroom door ajar.
But, you just sit there playing guitar.

I curl up in a ball on my bed,
As turbulent thoughts rush through my head.

Where are you? Why won't you come?
I feel so foolish. Foolish and dumb.

I can hear you strumming away
Concentrating only on what you play

In my bed, I toss and turn,
Needing your attention and your concern.

But, your eyes and mind never rest on me,
As I long for how things used to be.

Your love for me has flown like the wind.
Is this punishment for when I've sinned?

I see you now, your feelings are clear.
My gray eyes pregnant with unshed tears.

I don't know how and I don't know why,
So I burrow in my covers just wanting to die.
