Subject: Yes, AGY is part of the Sony Music machinery, like there has been many people part of this before him but who didn't do as much for her, and also like there are many people (if not all ?) working in all music industry whose job is to sell their product. I doubt Anggun would participate to a project in which she doesn't fully commit, but she can also be badly advised. Nonetheless, for the part I have heard, I admit that song doesn't meet the expectations we could have ! I like the part sung in Indonesian, but not really the chorus that sounds strange. I'm also disapointed but let's wait for the audience reaction. And let's hope the best is yet to come with her next album ....

In reply to: steven 's message, "Good guy? Enthusiastic? He's part of the Sony machinery and wants to sell his product. It was the idea of Sony to bring Anggun and Deep Forest together. The result is not a development but a step back. Anggun doesn't want to be associated with indonesian stereotypes but now she has to sing a mix of traditional music and Portishead doing "We are the world". There must be some people around this board. Does nobody have an opinion about that song?" on 04:24:42 05/19/02 Sun

personally 'deep blue sea' is better than 'summer in paris' from my personal view. for me its ok if she sang in indonesian or france as long as the music is up to date and refreshing. but personally i began to dislike with that kinda lyrics aproach, u know 'we are the world' stuff...like u said.but maybe she wrote 'deep blue sea' during the period of sept. 11 fever...so she interprate her feelins tru that songs..who knows?im waiting for her new album outcome...she collaborate with many famous producers instead of working with eric benzi. so i guess we can expect something more refreshing?but please....anggun...less with 'we are the world' kinda lyrics....we got enough from chrysalis album already...brennan
