Subject: Re: Good guy? Enthusiastic? He's part of the Sony machinery and wants to sell his product. It was the idea of Sony to bring Anggun and Deep Forest together. The result is not a development but a step back. Anggun doesn't want to be associated with indonesian stereotypes but now she has to sing a mix of traditional music and Portishead doing "We are the world". There must be some people around this board. Does nobody have an opinion about that song?

I think she sings a mix of Indonesian traditional music in Deep Blue Sea isn't totally her idea. Deep Forest is such a kinda band who has world music gig in their music. So they may interested to contain one Indonesian traditional song in their brand new album (Music Detected) then they invited Anggun to performed it (they thought Anggun could have interpretated it perfectly coz she has Indonesian blood in her veins, and yes she made it).
So I don't think Anggun kinda change her notion about don't wanna be associated with Indonesia stereotypes.
Music Detected is not her own album, but Deep Forest's. So, she couldn't do more, coz Deep Forest is the one who rule in this material album.
