fiery hued warrior halts motion a 500 paces from his target, merely a distant blurred shape in the far end, right paw brings bow up in a graceful swoop, left lifting a sunfletched arrow from quiver slung haphazardly across back, swift, smooth drawing movement shows trained professional's skill in the art of archery, anthro-fox a sunblessed statue painted against the ground, then, at the exact moment after precision timing and patience, the single arrow is released with certain bulls-eye, jet garbed assasin barely bothering to load another shaft, instead, pleasant, easy pace set as warrior strolls the intervening space between him and the straw dummy, confident grin spreading as he sees the target, a perfect shot, the arrow had gone straight through the dummy's head at eye level, for 500 paces, not too bad, walking behind the target, he pulls out the arrow firmly embedded into the loamy soil, smirking at the flying lizard flitting about nearby as he re-packed the arrow into its sheath,
