Subject: ASF, RAF Machrihanish 1973 -1975

I was stationed at RAF Machrihanish 1973-1975, as a member of the Aircraft Servicing Flight in the Gaydon Hangar. Can't remember any strange goings on there apart from one guy driving the tractor through the hangar wall into the crew room. Would like to hear from any old mates who were there at the time. Some names I remember Eric, my old sergeant, who may still live in Campbeltown, John Welch, Tom Meek, Billy Mcknight, Paddy Laughlin and Eddie Flood (MT section), John 'Pinkie' Pinkerton (a real character whose rendition of 'Molly Malone' was not to be missed). Station commander at this time was Wing Commander John Dillon. Many other guys whose names escape me. Best regards to all.
