Subject: Four winged aircraft seen in 1993

When walking towards my local shops (there are many.....in this case its Girdle Toll)I saw an odd plane in the sky above me. It seemed to have the slender body of a fairly normal aircraft but it had smaller but obvious wings at the front near the nose. The main wings were wide and set at right angles to the craft. The smaller wings were slightly tapered but equally set at right angles to the nose.

It did not seem to move.

I watched for a few minutes and sure enough the movement was negligible. The craft hovered with no noise 1000s of feet directly above us.

I recognised it from an issue of Fortean Times. Fortean's first ever article on Aurora, erroniously credited a sketch of my plane as being the Aurora craft.

I think it was more likely to be an unmanned drone but............what on earth was it doing hovering over Girdle Toll. There is not much to see there.
