Steps hastened toward the river, the movements making the long hair about his hooves billow and flitter back from his legs. His ears were back as he could sense Astronmer fading quickly. With a determined look, his pace didn't stop at the river bank. He stepped right into the shallows drawing a small splash.

Knees bent as he lowered his body into the crystalline waters, the dirt washed away in small trails carried off with the current. He shifted so that the light unicorn slid from his back into the water before he moved to lay her head gently onto the shore so that she wouldn't drown. He stood by eyes fastened upon Astronomer as he glanced up to Epona softly and back hoping and for once in his life, perhaps offering a small prayer to whatever diety ruled here.
