She gave a sigh at the pain lessening and her soft brown eyes opened slowly looking to the stallion that had rescued her to the mare who'd healed her not seeming to focus, there were odd large flecks of white in their depths. Her ears flicked back meekly.
"I... do not know. My woodlands were destroyed by fire. I stayed trying to save the animals who lived there but the I.." She coughed roughly from the smoke she'd inhaled earlier. "I got too near the flames and lost my sight. When I fled, I was abushed... I am not what I used to be. I'm blind. I was easy prey. I only heard them."
She laid her head back down.
"My friends... I could do nothing for them..."
She sighed raggedly and coughed again, ears laying back.
"Some protector to look up to..."
