-She sighed, tugging on the lead, smiling a greeting to Teran and a goobbye to Mit before mounting and nudging the horse forward. He snorted, travelling forward. But he stopped at the edge of the fores, wheeling around as a blur escaped from the trees. The horse reared, unseating Amarante once more. She tugged on the reins, pulling him down. The mountain lion prowled at the horse's feet, making him spin about to stay away. Amarante pulled on the reins, wheeling him around. Why was this small animal so persistant?! Suddenly the lion jumped but amarante kicked, sending the horse flying in the other direction. She pulled out a bow, knocking an arrow then swiveled in the saddle, the horse running, beginning to get farther and farther away from the village. Soon they where gone, off in the distamce, unable to see any farther. But a attack cry from the lion and a shrill whinny was sounded, then a soft hiss of the mountain lion then it was silent-
