: ~ peering around the Great Hall from beneath thick lashes...noticing the fire has burned itself out...raising herself to her lil feet...padding thru the servery to the dry storage closet...gathering a broom, bucket and dust pan...unlatching the outside door as she scoops a bit of snow into the bottom of the bucket...securing the door before making her way to the Great Hall to clean the firepit ~

: ~ padding thru the large room...nothing except for the chiming of silver bells...kneeling in front of the hearth...scooping out the ashes with the shovel...slightly burning embers hiss as it comes in contact with the snow ~

: ~ scooping out the ashes...dumping them carefully into the bottom of the bucket...removing all of the old ashes from the hearth....curling slender fingers around the broom...sweeping the remaining ashes into the pan...dumping those in with the bucket...setting the tools aside for the moment...gliding over to the stack of logs...spreading a small stack of kindling ~

: ~ moving to the servery again for a repcloth....searching thru the stack for one that has seen better days...finding one with holes in it...tearing the cloth into scraps...spreading the scraps over the kindling...stacking several thick logs atop...using a tiny twig to light a flame from a nearby oil lap...slipping the twig onto the cloth beneath the logs ~
