: peering at the firepit...seeing no tea brewing..ing the wooden door to the dry storage closet...curling long-nailed fingers around a fresh kettle...pouring the kettle full of fresh spring water...hanging the water over the flames to heat ~

: ~ padding to the spice counter...pulling a stoneware container closer to her...removing the lid to remove a handful of tea leaves...placing the stopper onto the container...pushing it into its proper place...gathering the leaves together by their stem...using a small piece of cheesecloth...bundling them inside before knotting the top...bending at her tiny waist...dropping the leaves into the water to brew ~
