Movie Updates

There are several movie posters out there for 'Captain
Barbell,' the latest movie of Regine Velasquez and priends.

In one of the posters she is the only one shown twice.
On the top right as herself. And the bottom part as
the super female hero character 'Darna.' Cool, no?

Trivia. Regine once mentioned in an article that one of
her old favorite TV shows was 'Wonder Woman' which
starred Linda Carter as Wonder Woman. Doing the Darna
character may be an old fantasy-dream thingy for the
Song Bird. Cool again, no? hehe..

I wonder if she ever had any other fantasies like maybe
someday being the next female president? nah .. hehe.
Too bad.

Unless 'da King' does good as one next year. Then ya never
know. She got my vote and support. I like to be her chief
of staff then.

There was an accident on the set of Captain Barbell before.
It involved one of the actors who was playing a villian.
But I don't see him being mentioned in the movie poster or
in any of the media releases since the accident. I better
not say his name at the time till I hear and read more
about it. But he was rushed to a hospital. And he may have
suffered some major brain cells lost from his silly insane
stunt. When I see one of my good neighbors around I'll ask
him about it. He's my movie trivia/bluff person I go to
for stuff regarding the local movie scene. He use to be
pretty active there before and knows alot of insiders.

Not to put a damp on anyone's plans to see the movie..
But after seeing some of the previews I think I'm not
as excited about seeing the movie like I was before.
It kind of looks like our movies usually look and turn
out to be. *sigh*

But I most probably will see it because I like to see
that dream sequence mentioned with Regine. That part
did look pretty good in the preview. And see her as
she'll look as Darna too ought to be a nice plus. hehe..

Will the movie be the biggest grosser in the movie fest?
Well, there is also another kind of fantasy-hero theme
movie called 'Fantastic Man' also. But I betting Reg's
movie will be a hit for sure. And should make it to the
lucky top 3.

Hopefully the movie soundtrack does better than the last
one did. I already heard the theme song sung by Ogie and
Regine. Regine's part is ok. The part Ogie does is dread-
ful. Repeats itself over and over and over again .. When
you hear it on the radio you'll know what I mean.

Word is Regine and Ogie and the rest of the cast
will be joining a parade for all the films in the
movie fest. When and where should be known through
the usual entertainment news media. And it should
be shown on local TV.

Should be something to do if you got nothing to do
that day. Unless you're caught in the traffic its
going to create. Then you'll probably want to meet
a few of the stars to give them a piece of your
mind. lolz..

If sitting around watching celebrities wave from their
float to movie fans crowding in the streets is your
thing then here it comes. But I wouldn't mind watching
just to see Regine doing it because I think its her first
time to do it. And considering her as really just one of
us as I do it would be nice thing to see and feel for her
about it. Relate to it with her.

(like "boy! Is this dumb or what?!" lolz.. Just kidding!
Maybe more like "Boy, is it hot or what?! How Come all
the other female stars have an unbrella on them and I don't?
Where's Captain Unbrella when I need him!" lolz..)
