Maybe Lani's manager should reconsider whatever he is really up to and stop the flow of all theses incredible tidbits and do something a better man of a manager would do. Let bygones be bygones and hire Regine Velasquez (his former number one client) to co-produce an album with him and Lani and have what I bet will be the first multi-platinum album of her career. And probably a handful of real hit sings to justify her position among the Philippine top music artists. Because in all honesty, It looks like she became a music star because someone spend alot of money promoting her in the media. Rather than how Regine started. Before Regine broke out big time she was already filling up clubs and music halls. The only word I heard about Lani was through the media. Not from anyone who was saying she's the next superstar so watch out for her. mmJun Rather than go along with this foolishness of putting them in the same show so some fans can make comparisons and decide who out-performed the other that night..you could request Lani to get Regine to work with her on her next album. So she'll have a ligitimate hit album for once. And maybe then some the rumors will stop coming in. (hopefully at least half. *bad joke*) Rumors like her LIVE at Crossover album got a big chunk of its sales from those who were purchasing Regine's album. We got on this board some fans who have said their sales receipt shows that the computer is crediting Lani's album for that day. And the mailing lists shows many more. A fan who requested his name withheld did us a favor to ask has that ever happened before. Guess what.. its a first for several those chain record bars employees ever heard of that sort of thing happening. All I say is 'wow!' Talk about a music conspiracy! I bet none of those tabloids would have thought of that one, eh? Remember that this wouldn't have been possible to know if there was not a mailing list and independent internet freedom like ours. So in other words this was not suppose to come out like this and would have been passed over as another wild tabloid story. But it came out first from wondering fans!! That is one fact you got. Do you really need a dozen more just to even consider the probabilities. I rather consider what else is happening that we don't know and raise the concerns now before we find out we don't have this true superstar of a music artist around to admire, love and defend any more because no one is questioning it. Jun Think about that. Thanks for posting, Amil. Under normal circumstances you got good thoughts to follow. Please come back again anytime to post more thoughts. I wasn't referring directly to you in my subject title. But to those who know more than me what's really going on but continue to close their eyes and hope it will go away. Among musicians I mean. And he says he gets a flat empty sensation from Lani's performances and especially from her LIVE album. I got to hear some MP3's from her old albums. I was dissapointed and even kind of upset. Because she sounded way too much like Kuh Ledesma back then. Parang she is only good at imitating and has passed that Kuh phase because Kuh isn't hot anymore. Then it was Jaya and Carey and Regine but what does LANI-the-person and singer sound like?! I don't even know yet. I like her Whitney Houston medley. But that's probably because I like Whitney and I like the way Regine use to sing her own medley-like songs. Its a goos show piece for Lani. But again, what and when is it Lani I'm listening to and not who she is trying to copy. Anyway, I said on RVML2 I like Lani. I guess I still want to. But something came up that holds me back. Her shocking interview when she said she was first picked for the McNight concert. And a few other things. And this copying everything Regine does is annoying for fans. But on the artist-to-artist level you have to wonder what is going on? What is she up to? I hope it doesn't mean anything bad for the Song Bird. Knowing Lani's management company is the same one who handled Regine before. You tell me, fans..
