Regine Velasquez just recently released her 18th album overall aptly entitled "Reigne". Obviously the album title was a jumbled spelling of her name but still it explicitly shows that Regine herself is aware of her enviable status in the industry as a diva and a multi media superstar. Regine has evolved amazingly in her 17 years , from a gawky teenager with lungs made of steel and cynosure voice to a glamorous and constantly experimenting icon. She has the most platinum and multi platinum albums , a feat no other singers have duplicated .The past year saw artists like Lani Misalucha , Janno Gibbs , AiAi delas Alas and Freestly mounting concerts at The Araneta Coliseum. This trend was inspired started by Regine when her 2 night R2K became a sold out . R2K holds the record for being the most successful two night paid concert for any local artist. Reigne is Regine's latest feat , an 18 track album which contains mostly originals but still reflective of her style . As of this writing Regine is bound to complete her 16 night concert series "At the movies" at Onstage. Now that's ending the year with a bang.
