There are legends in Asturies (Asturias) where some mythical monsters named Cuelebres existed in this region.
Asturies is in northern Spain and is one of the Celtic Nations. And although cuelebres are never named dragons, they have all characteristics of dragons.

The Cuelebres live in the high mountains of Asturias called Picos d'Europa (Europe Pikes) inside caves, or in caves located in enchanted forests.

They usually guard precious trasures, religious items, and even beautiful maidens.
It is said by local Asturianes (Asturians) that is impossible to kill a cuelebre. Specially because they have hard skin, and do fly.

But legend says that in San Xuan day, the cuelebres loose their powers and go to sleep. It's in this time when you can steal their precious trasures, or even save long-time princesses kidnapped by the ferocious cuelebre.

Another legend says that in a city called Cangas, a young brave boy defied a cuelebre that entered the medieval city. This boy inserted a hot pebble inside a piece of bread, and then offered to the cuelebre. The cuelebre ate it, and the chocked, while the boy attacked the cuelebre's neck, and killed it.

There many more mythical beings in Asturies, but this is very famous.
