Subject: The Cold Feeling of Defeat...

^He walked quickly, with fury through the darkness of the night and through the canyon territory. His ears turned back and almost laying flat against his skull, an enraged scowl on his face. How...how could this be happening? Was Oaken really brainwashed enough to fall for and be whisked away by that...wolf? Was he really willing to give up EVERYTHING for the affection of one creature, and a WOLF to top it all off? It just didnt make sense to him...was it something he had done wrong in leading the pack to cause this? No...it couldnt have been. If there were anything to blame, it would be her. Devine. Just the thought of her or her name caused a searing rage to build up inside of him. He hated her. He hated her with every living fiber in his body.^ Damn wolf...who does she think she is...^He growled to himself, and went to swipe angrily at a rock, just for the pleasure of hitting something. But when he did, his foot slipped out from under him. Losing his balance, he fell sideways and over the edge of the canyon. His paws swiped, trying to dig into something to stop him, but the hard, rocky ground was too smooth, and slipped easily from his paws grasp. Down he fell, tumbling into the hard, jagged rocks that lined the canyon walls all the way down to the canyon floor below. Finally he came to a halt, landing hard against the floor of the canyon, bouncing and rolling a few times from the force. Pain. He felt pain surging through his body. He tried to move enough to stand, but to no avail. He had noticed that he had landed in the shadow of one of the large rocks that were scattered about the canyon. With his pitch black coat-for anybody to notice him would be next to impossible. A wave of defeat suddenly flooded over him as he lie there. Without even atempting to utter out a call for help-^...Dammit...^he muttered softly aloud to himself, and then the world faded into darkness as his eyes closed, and unconciousness set in.^
