if you`re starting a band 1....believe in what you are doing and always do it with true passion
....make sure people in the band have a common goal/vision for the band.this is nescessary as you dont want 1 peron calling the shots as you all need to have an input.
....practice as much as possible(whether its your garage or a rehearsal studio at least once a week is nescessary)start by playing covers if you havent got any of your own songs....but try to get your own sound before you fall into the trap of relying too much on covers when you do gigs.
.dont get a website until you have played a bit,get confident, you will know if you listen to yourself when you are ready for people to hear you, unfortunatly you`ll have to write many a shit song and play many a shabby gig before you get the hang of it.
.if you have a problem with the way someone is in your band address the problem before it blows up in your head.communication is always important in your band(after a few years it turns into a serious enough relationship)
.ALWAYS REMEMBER WHY YOU STARTED THE BAND IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!
