it's always shit to watch a band who don't seem to give a flying fuck about what they are doing, but fuck knows it's difficult sometimes to get into it, for example when THE SOUND MAN GIVES YOU NO MONITOR MIX FOR BEING TOO LOUD. performance wise, it's all about the music really, it just helps if you're not more interested than the band in what is going on. you don't need costumes, back drops, flash bombs, 6 marshal cabs (that's for you chris!), arty visuals, just enthusiasm that will affect your crowd. tool do fuck all moving about and i was transfixed by them - twice. slipknot go fucken apeshit, and they put on fucken animal gigs. giving a shit is more important than anything on the stage, if i looked bored on stage i would expect that people would be bored regardless of the music....u need that lift. for x-constant, this is mark, in the mixing bunker, mazar-i-sharif.
