SENTINELS OF THE SKY
Conversations with Chief Joseph & John Cali

THE WAY OF THE WARRIOR
John Cali
A few years ago, Chief Joseph did a little piece called The Way of the
Warrior. Of all his material, it's one of my favorites.
I don't track these things, but judging from my recollection of the
responses to that article when I first published it - and then
re-published it several later times - I'd say it was a hit with many
of you too.
Anyway, the Chief has done a follow-up. Hope you like it as well as
you did the original.
As with the original, Joseph uses the feminine pronoun. Personally, I
think that's a wise choice. This world, especially in the wake of
September 11, can use lots more peaceful warriors who acknowledge and
love their feminine energy.
I want to dedicate this to all the warriors in my life. But I
especially want to dedicate it to those powerful women warriors I'm
honored to count among my loved ones.
Love,
John

THE WAY OF THE WARRIOR
Chief Joseph
The Warrior always follows her heart, above all else.
The Warrior knows peace reigns within her own heart. And she knows
when she is heart- centered, she feels nothing but peace. When she
trusts her heart, the Warrior is at peace.
The Warrior knows peace on earth is possible only if all have peace
within their hearts.
The Warrior knows the end of violence and the beginning of peace have
their seeds only within her own heart.
The Warrior, as she moves through her life, sows seeds of peace
wherever she travels.
The Warrior, as she moves among her loved ones, her friends, her
responsibilities, sows seeds of peace by seeing only the good in life,
and by refusing to focus on all else.
The Warrior, as she sows seeds of peace, feels deep joy within her
heart. She not only feels joy, she IS joy.
The Warrior knows, only by keeping that joy within her heart ablaze,
can she ever re-kindle it within the hearts of others.
The Warrior, as she sows seeds of joy, feels love in her heart. A
love that encompasses all that is - all her sisters and brothers,
goddesses and gods all - all creatures of the earth, sky, and sea -
all beings, sentient and non-sentient.
The Warrior, most of all, feels love for herself deep within her
heart. For she knows, in her wisdom, only when she loves herself
first, can she ever fully love others.
The Warrior, as she sows seeds of love, comes full circle. She feels,
once again, a deep peace and joy within her heart.
The Warrior, in her heart - in that small, still, silent place within,
knows a peace and a joy that encompass and surpass all else she has
ever known.
The Warrior has become one with her heart, one with her peace, one
with her joy, one with her love. She is truly in a place of
at-one-ment.
All is well. The Way of the Warrior is The Way of the Heart.

Since 1992, John Cali has been communicating with a non-physical
entity called Joseph. In one of his many physical lifetimes, this
spirit was incarnated as the legendary Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce
tribe in what is now Oregon. The messages in these newsletters are a
blend of information from Joseph and John.
