He stops and lifts a hand to his perspiring neck darkly tanned. Then rubs it turning to Jennifer, looking up from the ground he replies and drops his hand smacking it on his thigh as he's talking *No, me and Riena go really far back I guess you could say. I was the first guy here and she showed up after me and we've been friends ever since. I've liked her for a while but I don't think shes into me.* Looking up is pale hazel eyes turn to look over at Riena and Lacy his collie. Hearing Jennifer's next reply he smiles *Well I'll take you up on that Jennie, I guess you can just call me Josh, like everyone else.* He laughed deeply at his comment. Looking back to Jennie he looks at her *Why do you ask if me and Riena are seeing each other ou of curosity* He continues to walk towards the main barn where his impatient paint mare waits to be put out with her companion.

teeth bared he reared up above, Jennifer. He landed down, about an inch away from her. A totally dislike was in him.

Reaching his arm up he stokes the massive black stallion and jerks lightly on his halter lead snaping the chain slightly around his muzzle. *Hey boy easy come here you big lug* Raising his arms up he held the steeds great carriage tiara in his hands and soothed his high spirits. Stroking his brow and muzzle looking into his deep ebony orbs. *What do you have against Jennie huh? She do something to you boy* He kept stroking the large steed to keep his attention away from Jennie.

and slapped out his hind hooves at her. While Josh held on to him he tried to rear. Head shook savagly and he bucked out a couple of times. He pranced at the end of the lead rope and tried rearing again.

Watching Jennnie he yanks the lead and rushes Shalidar into a pasture where no other horses were. *Stay here boy, I mean it and NO treats until you start being good to people for a change.* Locking the gait he runs after Jennie calling her name repeatedly *Jennie Jennie wait Jennie.* Catching up to her he grabs her in his arms and stops her from running up to the bunk house anymore. *Jennie don't take anything that goes around here with Shalidar to heart, he was like that with me when I first met him. Hes a big stubborn baby and loves people once he knowns them.* Holding her tightly so she couldn't get away but not to hurt her either. *Everyone isn't trying to be mean to you, it takes time to get use to new people around here, and you deserve to live don't be like this. I don't want to make assumptions about you, I hardly know you. So please give everything another chance* He looked into her eyes that welled with tears hoping she would stay and talk things through.

Rips away from Josh's arms. runs to the bunk house and slams the door shut while locking it. She cry's because her heart broke.

He looked about for Toffee, and whickered to her. He paced and then galloped about his pasture. Turning to the jumps he quickly did them.

Letting her go freely he didn't understand what she was talking about or why she was acting so unusal. He turned and headed towards the barn. Toffee and Satine's Angel whickered gingerly at his enterance he smiled and grabbed both their leads. Kind of loping around thinking of what had just happened. Clipping the shank to Satine's Ahlter he lead her from the stall then as he passes Toffee's opens her door and clips the shank to her halter. Leading the two mares down the large barn aisle side by side they walked peacefully and her lead them to Shalidar's paddock where they could all greet each other. Unhitching the gait he slipped the halters off the two mares and threw one of the lines behind them to urge them into the pasture. Both walked in and whislted shrilly to Shalidar prancing delicatly. Josh sighed and hitched the gait closed, paucing momentarily he rested his hand on the top of the post and looked back to the bunk house. Then hung the halters and shanks on the gait and turned leaning against the fence and slumped down to the ground and sat there. He whistled and called Lacy over she hadn't been getting to much attention lately and probebly should've been getting more.

Reaching out he grabs the collie and plays with her folding her legs under gently and rubbing her stomach *Hey girl, missed you.* He looked at her hay infested coat and assumed what she was doing *getting in troble with the mares and stallions again huh you little devil* He rubbed her stomach some more and played around with his collie brightening his mood more.

Lefting a hand and tilting his cap back he looks up at Riena glad to see her, he missed her more than he had originally thought. *I have no clue, she flipped out for some reason then said something about me and her together and I don't know what that was and she ran off crying. I gave up I dont know what to do. Mr. pigheaded started it* He smiled and laughed slightly when he pointed behind him at Shalidar. *But I guess you can't win them all. Your welcome to come and sit in the hay with me. I'm wondering where Lacy is, she skipped off somewhere when the whole thing happened.* He looked around and leaned forward then continued..*Hey do you know why she asked about me and you? I thought that was kind of weird but hey everyone different* He looked up at her from the ground squinted slightly from the bright rays of the sun.

I don't know why myself. Shalidar can be a jerk, but he wouldn't get that mad for no reason :she looks at Josh: I'm not trying to blame her for anything, but he must have a reason. :shrugs, and sits beside him: I saw Lacy somewheres around here....

Laughing at Lacy's antics he reaches through the fence and leans to grab the hat from her feet and waves it above his head, teasing the little collie. Smiling at her playfulness, laughing all over again. *Yeah I know, he was never that bad with me or you, well we got to know him together actually.* He smiels and thinks of the first time they meet and the bath they battled with the filthy stallion. Still waving the hat out of Lacy's grip. *Maybe there is a reason, but its nice to see you every once and a while, I don't get to a lot anymore. I have some many different horses to take care of now.* His gaze trails off down the feild and he sees a familiar mare, well a grown filly. *Oh my god Riena thats Storm my filly, well shes all grown now.* He stands up and let lacy grab the hat and plays with her, whistling he calls to the mare. *Riena I haven't seen her in forever, come here come meet her.* He grabs Riena's hand and pulls her up with him and jogs up a few feet away from the mare with his trailing collie.

:well she was being pulled, so she had no choice. She stops behind him: Shes really dirty. Looks like we have a horse to bath :she laughs, and looks at the mare: Is this one Storm? The little paint filly you got?

*sorry didn't mean to drag you* he laughed and continued *yeah this is her, hey girl.* stoking the mares shoulder and neck. *what do you think, want to give her a bath with me? Hopfully we won't get soaked* He looked at Storm and wondered if she would approve. *Lacy I'm sure will take off my sponge or something* he laughed and grabbed a shank and led the mare out of the pasture.

*Alright, but I'll get you after.* He winks with his own mystery and walks towards the side of the main barn where baths were usually given because of the standing crossties and mats outside. It was really convient at times. Clipping the crossties to Storm's halter he unclipped the shank and hung it up then headed to the barn for all of the soap and sponges and buckets they would need. *hey you want to unreel the hose while I get everything* he asked politely after giving Storm one last pat before heading off to get everything.

He galloped over to Toffee and whuffled at her. Checkingheir all over to make sure she was ok. Then he saw Jennifer. His ears laced back quickly. Eyes went wild under his lids. old images flashed through his mind. Whips seemed to dance around him. Rearing he pawed the air.

He begins to bite, then smells the cubes. he skirted around her, eyes wide, still frightened. He stopped a few feet away from her. Wind messed with overgrown mane. Forelocks went down to his muzzle. He took a hesitant step towards her.
