My name is Firenze, I come from the land of Meadowlark far over the horizon to the east.. .. to this he bowed his head .. My home and my family were destroyed 2 years ago after I was taken prisoner.. 'tis a long story, perhaps in time you will learn it.. .. he paused in silence 'fore continuing .. I traveled to the valley on news of toil, similar to that of my old home, and - what little service I can offer, I give fully .. tail snapped silently across his black flanks .. I have wandered alone, as I am still young, though perhaps in time I shall find a mate ere I die.. I come to stay, if that is alright with you, for in times like these I do not wish to worry about a land wholly of my own...
