Must be something special about the Don/Gaucho/Mustang thing. I wonder if the same thing would happen to a Charger/Gaucho/Mustang hybrid or a Royal/Gaucho/Mustang (for reference, Chargers and Royals are the two other major high school teams in SB/Goleta).

But yeah, I'd be lying if I said my cheering wasn't inspired by the one or two seasons of Gaucho basketball I watched right before leaving for college (back when you guys were still Gauchoholics).

Hopefully our boys can start beating your boys a little more often, and the rivalry will take off. Also, maybe the balance of power on the women's side will shift a little, and our ladies can pull off another upset (I was there last time, cheering while sitting next to my sister, a die-hard Gaucho ladies fan).
