To say I'm suspect that this message really comes from the three captains is an understatement. Nevertheless, if any of the Poly ballers DO read this page, I'd like to say that you should be VERY proud of your effort and accomplishments this year. Varnie should've been the POY. Next year, we'll have a tough time replacing Allen and Geary (and some of the bench players), but I have high hopes for the team. You thrilled us this year, made your school proud, and I for one can't wait to see how Fernando and Greg and the new guys coming in this year can help in the backcourt. EJ, much of the scoring load will have to be filled by you in the backcourt. You have it in you (LBSU game). Varnie and Shane, take care of your bodies in the off season. You both played through pain like troopers this year--but we'd be even better if you could avoid some of the nagging injuries.

Phil, keep working on your game. You are gonna be a gamer. The quality of big men in the conference is improving, your goal should be to improve faster than some of the young 7 footers in the conference.

Vlade Lisinac: play ball all summer. Your role on this team will be increasingly important next year. You and Nick Enzweiller will be looked to for production (offense, defense, boards, etc) in the absence of Patterson and Kamara.

Titch. . .you know all the minutes JGIII got? They are yours for the taking if you show you can play JGIII defense and hit a shot once in a while.

We lose a lot of experience, athleticism, etc. this year. But, I know we have the horses to improve next year. As long as the horses are properly tuned up!!
