If there is a 3 way tie I believe the tie breaker goes to the team with the best record among themselves. So, in your hypothetical scenario... whereas UCSB, Poly, & UCI each finished at 12-6.... and CP beat UCI... then Poly's record for the tie breaker purposes would be 2-2. I am unsure where USCB & UCI would fall.

I believe if that doesn't clear things up then it goes to best record vs the best finishing team in conference.
