Anyway, I'd have to disagree with you on your point of Bromley needing to coach with more emotion. Having been to most Poly home games in the last couple of years, I have rarely seen Bromley more animated or more emotional than he was last night, especially in the first half. Bromley's sideline demeanor is certainly not the reason Poly lost last night. Fact is, the team only received 11 points from Allen and Geary who were coming off a combined 43 points versus UCI. I think the lack of contribution from the two guards, plus the 59% free throw shooting were the key factors. Of course, the all-around shooting was poor especially in the 2nd half. I think Poly ended up around 40% in field goal percentage. Not good. The Mustangs had a chance to blow this one open early in the 1st half and couldn't. Idaho went around 7 minutes without scoring a point, yet Poly couldn't build on their 21-13 lead. I figured that would probably come back to haunt them and wouldn't you know.

Definitely not a good loss, especially coming on their home floor with Utah State still to play. However, this is how the Big West is this year. Anyone can just about beat anyone anywhere. There is no dominant team in the conference this season, with literally several teams having legitimate chances to win the tourney.

All that being said, it wouldn't surprise me the least bit if Cal Poly beat Utah St. With this season starting to resemble a rollercoaster, you can almost bet on a Poly win!
