This from today's Minneapolis Star-Trib on John Manley:

"Published Feb. 19, 2003 PBES19

Boys' basketball

• John Manley, Minnetonka: The Skippers are glad to see the 6-8 post back in the middle. Manley, who has been hampered because of injuries, had 35 points to lead Minnetonka past St. Louis Park 84-73."

Minnetonka High is only 3-5 in league play and 9-11 overall. But perhaps that's because our man Manley has only played in 13 games due to injury. He is averaging 20.2 ppg. He is not amoung the rebounding leaders in the "metro" area.

Zach Thurow's Minneapolis South High team is doing better at 16-6 / 6-3 in league. However, I could find no information on Zach's personal stats.

Tyler McGinn from Mesquite High in Arizona averaged about 14.25 ppg. He had one game of 33 points and another where he pulled down 15 rebounds. His scoring seemed to tail off toward the end of the year--he scored less than 14 points in his last 9 games. Tyler's team finished 18-11 and did not make the state playoffs.

Kameron Gray from Chabot Community College in the East Bay is not playing this year. Of course, he is highly touted and was called by Coach B the best JC PG in the state last year.
