I was just settling-in and enjoying the 6-zip lead over the Anteaters when coach pulled out most of the starters--including Shane Schilling who hit two of the first three field goals.

Why? Was Bromley copying ex-49er coach "Mooch". Was it pre-scripted? Sure they stagnated at 6-0, but why not let the starters get a feel for the game? I've never heard of pulling a hot hand to rest him.

Can anyone offer an reasonable excuse?
