Pelican...you're correct. Baker is not pulling the strings on the coaches (ala Al Davis). In fact, he's known to rarely be on campus.

Coaching decision? That's pure McCutcheon. In fact when it came to the football coach, McCutcheon performed the search solo with essentially no input from peers or higher-ups at the university.

McCutcheon's done an admirable in terms of improving the facilities but as has been stated many times on this site, his eye for coaching talent in horrible. In other words, he's blind! He can try to defend himself but the record speaks for itself.
