I see carmen as a strong and very independent person who doesnt let anyone tell her how to run her life. She likes to be in control and is very manipulative. Violetta wasn't as strong as Carmen, but cared more for others and for true love. Carmen died in vain while Violetta died at an unconvenient time when her life was just beginning to be filled with happiness.
