Hi All:

You have heard me mention on several occasions to watch for a big "drug deal" to come down from the US government. Many thought I was being overly pessimestic and conspiratorial with this suggestion. I have even suggested to any readers out there that it might be a good investment, no a very good investment to buy stocks in Bayer or it's parent company I.G. Farban (sp?) Well looks like I have "nailed it" as Rush Limbaugh would say. Have a look at this article and realize this is just an initial order. The final bill in all of this will be as I speculated well into the billions. Someone is getting awfully rich off these "terrorist attacks" and it sure as hell isn't you or I !!!!

Please be aware that Canada is also buying into this to the tune of $1.30 per tablet but at least it is going to be covered under our insurance plan. However that still means that Bayer is getting the money from our government and therefore from Canadian citizens anyway.

Now who owns stocks in Bayer again ?

"... The Bush administration said it agreed with German pharmaceutical Bayer to purchase the anthrax antibiotic Cipro for 95 cents a pill -- down from the previously discounted price of $1.77 per tablet.

As part of the agreement, the government will make an initial purchase of 100 million tablets for $95 million. Bayer will donate 2 million tablets to the government's reserves, which now stand at 18.6 million ... "
