Dear Delores and everyone,
I am an Occupational therapist trying to seek out ideas and suggestions to make the best of my treatment times with these special children.
I am working with 3 brothers that were scalded together and ages rang from 2 - 4. Each child has varying amounts of limited ability to move at the shoulders and wrists and elbows and they all have large keloids, especially at the joints. Sometimes I just have to focus on increasing their range and it is painful for them.
Do you have any suggestions to make therapy as effective a time as possible? I would like to know of any children that have memories of therapists that worked with them and did things that were especially helpful and fun.
Please email me at lisagardenave@hotmail.com.
Thank you.
