Hello everyone,

I enjoy this board as much as the other. We owe MarkM a great deal of thanks for his great work at managing this board. GOOD JOB!

This is a tough question, and has many varied answers - again I believe it depends upon perspective. Denomination means different things - or conjures different thoughts to different people - regardless of how the dictionary might define it.

I do want to address something other than denominationalism though if I may so there is no misunderstandings. Particularly to Brother Abington.

Many do not know what went on behind the scenes and one would need to know this to make a full judgement. Brother Abington was not kicked in the seat of the pants and booted. The fellowship and that includes leadership was and is still open to him.

With care even though it caused a great deal of rift in the leadership, the leadership was still left open to him - though there were demands at that time if I didn't do something right away that others were demanding that I cut him from the membership and leadership with threats of resignation - yet I did not have a knee jerk reaction to this... and made every attempt possible to reconcile things... his leaving the membership was not my choice. Just so there is no misunderstanding he never got booted - though I am not saying that anybody said he was "booted".

Lastly, as far as I know only two messages have ever been removed in all the posts at the "New" message board. I removed the marijuana post - but again remember I left it there for nearly a week.... until it became so fruitless that there was no reason for it to continue and the I thought it was becoming harmful especially to the one who posted it.

The other message a Bishop removed though I never got to read the message in fullness.

The "New" message board really has not changed. The UCFM leadership has always had a moderation capability though like I said as far as I know it has only been used twice over many hundreds, perhaps now thousands of deep dicussions.

I did add some wording that messages left should be kept professional and respectful of others, and that any messages that were directed as personal attacks, or name calling would be removed.

I see nothing personally wrong with the desire to have deep discussions and yet presenting them in a respectful way, so as not to personally slam another person when disagreeing... this does not mean others cannot disagree or debate issues.

I have learned a great deal from many, and learned and grown much from reading others views - even though I might disagree.

Randy always has some of the greatest resources... I admire so many who have this knowledge and share it with others --- what a great tool of learning.

MarkM for example has a very good sound (IN MY OPINION) bible and theological perspective - though he and I at times will disagree on issues >;-)

I truly hope that none will fully pull away from sharing their precious resource of knowledge because I have asked for people (and this includes MYSELF - for I am as guilty as anybody) to deliver our messages having a thought or concern in loving respect to others.

Thanks and God Bless,
Pastor Fred
