My 11 year old called me from a sleepover party last weekend and asked to be picked up. Seems the "mom"-in-charge thought R-rated thriller movies were appropriate for a group of 10-11 year old girls. I don't allow that in my house and would especially not allow it unless I informed the other parents and had permission. I need your advice. Am I too protective, or are they too permissive? I think the fact that my daughter called and came home speaks volumes, but would like an outside, adult opinion. Thanks Buds.
Koodos to your daughter, Midnite!! I let my kids decide what they want to listen to or watch but give my opinion when I feel it's needed. My daughter thinks Eminem is to die for and couldn't wait to see "*Mile". IShe borrowed it and she and her dad and I sat down to watch it. About 10 mins into it she said it was boring.
