冬天不寂寞，剛剛欣賞完500年一遇的獅
子座流星暴雨，雙子座流星雨又將于12月14日
翩然來臨。

據了解，雙子座流星雨的活動期一般從12月7
日開始，但最適于觀賞的時間是12月14日晚間
。從當晚7時開始，流星雨的輻射點在太陽落
山之后就升起來了，在理想的天空條件下，整
個晚上將都可以觀測到流星雨。雙子座流星雨
的極大期不像獅子座流星雨持續得那么短，而
將持續一天，因此世界上任何位置的觀測者都
有機會看到，而中國則處在全球最佳的觀測位
置。同時，由于12月14日恰逢我國陰歷月底，
沒有月光的干擾，因此這一難得的天文美景將
更為清晰地呈現在我們眼前。據了解，此次雙
子座流星雨極大時，每分鐘將有120顆流星划
過天際。

據介紹，雙子座流星群其實還很年輕，
19世紀中葉才開始出現，當時流量還較低，
每小時僅有10-20顆。但從那以后，每年它的
流量都在增加，目前已成為每年最主要的大流
星群之一了。

另外, 跟據IMO的資料,雙子座流星雨的極大值是 14 Dec, 04 hour UT,即香港時間14 Dec 12:00 noon,因此若想看到此流星雨,要在14日的凌晨及15日的凌晨出動.

流星雨的ZHR=120,但中國地區應不是最佳地點,大家可能看到每小時幾十顆.
但不要和獅子座的火流星暴相比,它是人生難得一見的天象.不過,幾年前有人曾看到過此流星雨一晚中有過百顆光亮流星.
