希臘導演安哲羅普洛斯，1935年生於希臘，在學時研習法律，之後卻在巴黎學電影，作品細膩富有人性，在（永遠的一天）中，他維持著獨樹一幟的風格，在醞釀的長鏡頭中表現多霧又多雨的希臘冬景，以及景物中佇立的人影，感性而詩意的劇情，簡潔的台詞，超越時空的溫柔情緒，讓觀眾沈浸與感動。

【故事大綱】
我醒來時，你仍在沈睡你手輕輕一動，彷彿在找尋我眼皮微微抖，又沉沉睡去我在海邊寫信給你一次又一次....當你偶爾想起請記住謝謝你給我這「永遠的一天」…
明天，星期一，亞歷山卓將去醫院。醫生告訴他，當痛苦無法忍受時一定要記得來找他....
他已經決定離開這棟濱海的房子了，這棟他長久居住的老房子，開之時，他發現了一封塵封已久的信，發信人是他死去已久的太太，於是他發現了他的太太安娜曾經是那麼的愛他，而以往的點滴慢慢湧現，他沈浸在過去的時光中…
雨中，他遇到了小孩，亞歷山卓幫助非法移民通過邊界，於是他告訴他一個住在義大利的希臘詩人的故事，說他希望能用母語寫詩及賣詩給希臘的人民，於是，小孩子幫他賣詩，也因為這些文字，安娜回來了，而所有的一切雖然只有一天，但卻是永遠。
他明白了生命中錯過了的事情，就是好好地愛妻子，他一直埋頭創作，忽略了身邊深愛他的妻子及親人，直至年老生病，才驚覺原來生命中最直實、最寶貴的，其實是情。當你懂得了愛，就是生命中最真實、最使一天變成永恆的一刻。
