I am glad to see that some of our honourable parents are coming here and give their view on this forum. As for myself, I also cannot seize the chance to get the place for SFXC in P6 and had to ask BA for permission to enroll in the campus. It is really aspiring for BA to accept me(though I am not excelleng in both academics and extra cirricular activities). This gave me a totally new impression of what a school to be. SFXC is stressing on behaviours of students, but not the solid academics results. Starting from F.1, I was convinced that SFXC promotes a style of freedom, which allows students to do their own things without many restrictions. Having this superior freedom, we are growing indepedent and consolidating mind.
However, a coin has its two sides. SFXC also has some drawbacks. First, the freedom of SFXC is somehow diminishing. To me, and many of our big brothers, all agreed that it is extremely DIFFICULT for them to manage clubs matters in the school by their own decisions. The school pressure is SO GREAT that they are limited to small function only, with no funding and kindly help from school. There are so many examples in these years[for those high form students should know about it] that I am not going to tell. Secondly, we are forced to co-operate with school. There is a saying from school in our mind "We accept all your suggestions/opinions/comments, BUT we will take the same action."
I am sorry that I have to stop now, if time allows later, I would be happy to elaborate more on this points. Again, sorry for my poor grammatical and spelling mistakes. Anyway, I hope this forum can shows the diversity of the students from different walks of lifes. I STRONGLY HOPE THAT ANY TOPICS HERE WILL NOT BE DELETED.
