想在這裡給大家介紹一位作者 Jostein Gaarder.他主要以西班牙文發表﹐但他大部份的著作均有英文版和中文版。有逛書局習慣的同學都必定見過"蘇菲的世界"﹑"紙牌的秘密"﹑"主教的情人"這幾本書。這些都是Jostein Gaarder以介紹哲學為出發點寫成的小說。
到目前為止﹐他一共發表了八本書:
(1)Sophie's World 蘇菲的世界
(2)The Christmas Mystery
(3)Hello? Is Anybody There?
(4)The Solitaire Mystery 紙牌的秘密
(5)Through a Glass Darkly
(6)Vita Brevis/ That Same Flower 主教的情人
(7)The Frog Castle
(8)Maya
其中(1)﹑(4)和(8)比較適合中學生/大學生﹐(2),(3),(5)的對像主要是小孩子﹐但小弟也從這幾本書中得到不少的體會。看Jostein Gaarder著作的好處是﹐你可以把它們當作故事來看("蘇菲的世界"和"紙牌的秘密"都有非常精采的故事線)﹐在另一方面﹐你又可以把它們當作哲學入門教科書來看(很多故事的主角都有很明顯的世界觀:存在主義﹑無神主義﹑經驗主義...)﹐看Jostein Gaarder的書﹐比看任何一本Philosophy for beginners/ Philosophy for dummies的書都更有趣味。
看Jostein Gaarder著作的英文版比看中文版較好﹐很多"文字遊戲/Double Meaning"在翻譯成中文後都失去了原來的意思。
最後一點﹐要讀Jostein Gaarder著作的英文版﹐任何一位有中三英文程度的朋友都應該可以完全不用查字典。
