• Bellezas Dominicanas -- DI, 02:19:21 12/25/02 Wed
  
  Ruth Ocumarez, primera mujer negra Dominicana en representarnos en Miss Universe. Con su eleccion en Mayo '01, Ruth rompio con todos los esquemas anteriores. La espectativa de Ruth aun crecio con su llegada a PR, convirtiendose en la gran favorita de la prensa local e internacional y del pueblo Puertoriqueño. Pero por mala suerte Ruth no logro entrar a las diez semifinalistas, aunque logro el 3er lugar en la competencia de Traje Tipico, con su traje "Fanasia Guloya" creado por Leonel Lirio. Muchos aun no saben porque Ruth no clasifico. Con su participacion Ruth demostro ante el mundo que nuestro pais tendra una reina de la belleza universal en un futuro no muy lejano.
  
  
  Suanny Frontaan, luego de formar parte de las semifinalistas en el Miss RD 2002, Suanny parte para Houston, Texas donde compite en los concursos Reina Mundial del Cafe y Miss MesoAmerica. En los cuales queda 2da y 3ra finalista respectivamente.
  
  
  Jeimi Hernandez, electa 1ra finalista en el Miss RD 2002, Jeimi fue a Japon para el Miss Internacional. Jeimi logro quedar entre las semifinalistas y fue nombrada como la candidata de mejor cuerpo. Segun Jeimi los organizadores de dicho concurso les informaron que ella habia quedado en 4to lugar no muy detras de Miss Japon.
  
  
  Dalissa Alegria, queda semifinalista en el Miss RD 2002, y es elegida Miss Petite Dominicana. Ella compite en el Miss Petite Global logrando ser 1ra finalista.
  
  
  Yilda Santana, aunque no clasifico en el Miss RD 2002, Yilda consigue el titulo de Miss Tierra Dominicana 2002. Ella va al Miss Tierra con mucho favoritismo, pues Yilda se convierte en unas de las gran favoritas por muchos expectadores. No clasifico en el Miss Tierra, pero gano 3er lugar en la competencia de traje de noche. Con su participacion Yilda nuevamente demostro que en nuestro pais hay buena calidad de candidatas. Despues del Miss Tierra, Yilda fue contratada para modelar en Venezuela donde actualmente esta trabajando. En el 2000 Yilda compite en el "Miss Universo Dominicana" electa como 2da finalista.
  
  Participacion notable:
  Lorraine Diaz, 1ra finalista en Miss RD 2001, fue a Manizales, Colombia para el Reina Int'l del Cafe. Lorraine fue nombrada Miss Fotogenica y se mantuvo entre las favoritas para las finales. Desafortunadamente Lorraine no clasifico, muchas de las personas presente quedaron sorprendidos al no entrar al cuadro final.

  Carol Arciniegas, 2da finalista en Miss RD 2002. Carol esta dando los ultimos toques a su preparacion antes de partir para Manizales, Colombia a participar en el Reina Int'l del Cafe. Con su extensa experiencia de competencia en concursos de belleza, Carol esta lista y dispuesta a conquistar ese cetro. A Carol le sobran armas para logralo.
  
  
  Amelia Vega, Miss RD 2002. Amelia reune todo lo que se busca en una reina de belleza. Con una buena preparacion, Amelia talvez pueda lograr lo que ninguna mujer Dominicana ha podido hasta el momento: ser Miss Universo.
